Full description
This lovely box frame picture features 5 hand carved flying sanderling. Each bird was carved from a 10mm thick sheet of lime giving a curve to the wing and "movement". They have been painted with artists acrylics and mounted on different length pegs giving a feeling of depth. The backboard is painted with tones of blue and grey to give the impression of water.
The frame is 32cm x 37cm and 3cm deep overall. The aperture is 21.5cm x 26.5cm and the birds have a wingspan of 11cm approx.
