We are lucky to have a rich variety of sea birds & garden birds within view from our home. Just below us, is an important urban wildlife corridor which connects the coast to some woods, sneaking through our built environment - it's a perpetually busy highway, with birds & insects - inhabiting or refuelling as they pass through.
One of the many regulars is a robin which flits about the tree tops (below us), sits on the railing between the trees & edge of our quiet road, or hopping about feasting on critters.
I watch him, busying about, from my Print Studio. There are moments when only we two exist...

Full description
This is a Linocut Handprinted card featuring a red-breasted Robin, taking a Snow Bath. The image is made from 5 printed blocks (a lot of printing!) Robin is puffed up, brown wing (detailed with black & orange feathers) stretched out slightly from grey body, flinging the pale blue snow in a scattering snow bath. Black beak points skywards, eye looks at you with a playful twinkle.
Card is blank inside & info on the back hand-set in old letterpress, hand inked & printed on my ancient Press.

It's very hard to convey, in a photograph, the truly beautiful physical quality of the ink & it's colour on this gorgeously soft-to-touch paper
Cards will vary slightly due to the nature of hand production making each card unique & original
