I've always wanted to make a light-box. I'm fascinated by the way that the picture totally transforms when the lights are switched on. Initially I'd only seen them made out of paper, so I thought what would it be like to make one out of wood, and here's the result!

Would make a lovely gift to brighten up the home for nature and deer lovers!
This design has been made up of 3 different layers of hardboard, which have been cut separately by laser. Each layer has been spray painted individually by hand and then assembled inside a white rustic wooden box frame to make a 3D picture.
To maximise the 3D effect, there is no glass in the frame.
Over all frame size 180mm x 180mm x 35mm approx with the actual picture size being 150mm x 150mm approximately.
The back of the picture has two brass eyelets and brass wire for wall hanging. The picture is also able to stand without the need for support via the battery box.
The light picture is lit by cool white LED string lights which totally transforms the picture. The lights require 2 x AA batteries - not included.
