I love to free motion embroider and recycle/upcycle wherever possible. This wallhanging was made with a softened drinks can. Once it's been heated with a blow torch it creates lovely random patterns and makes it pliable enough to be flattened and go through the sewing machine. I always use older, used needles for this though!!

ABE001 - Moon Abstract Embroidery - It measures 12.5cm x 17.5cm (5"x7" approx) plus mixed yarn hanging loop, edging and tendrils with hand rolled, painted paper beads. Overall length is 45cm (18"). Free motion/machine embroidered design onto softened metal. I punched holes in the metal then stitched it to a hand painted fabric backing. The background is a shot purple/gold lamé and has been stiffened to keep it's shape. Has complimentary coloured rayon thread machine stitching in pale gold and mauve. Posted within 3 days of order, 2nd class signed for in UK and Europe. Signed for USA and Canada (unless using POBox). I am happy to send out wrapped up in tissue,remove the price/info tag if you are gifting to someone and a handmade card with a message from you at your request. All of my wall hangings are posted along with a price/info tag in a grip seal bag to keep them dry and padded parcel/envelope to protect them . Thank you Vicky x
