Welcome to my shop Wiktorski Ceramics. Here you will find a variety of hand made products including pottery and cards. Each piece is made purely by hand and each glaze I apply is weighed and mixed by my own fair hands, similar to baking a cake. I was taught the traditional way and each glaze has taken many years to perfect. This makes it totally unique to Wiktorski Ceramics. Each piece is a one off and will not be seen again. Full description
Wire Art Bird cage pottery sculpture. My wire art bird cage is designed and made by hand using a delicate black and camel brown wire. The piece is sculpted using my fingers and jewellery clippers.
The ceramic animal creature is designed using my imagination and characteristics of animals such as The Clangers. The creature is whimsical, fantasy and cute and is attached to a natural piece of Silver Birch wood on the bottom of the bird cage. Dotted around the bird cage are a number of brightly coloured buttons also attached by wire. I have fastened a cute bow at the top with pale blue polka dot ribbon. The bird cage is hung by natural twine.
The bird cage is designed to look slightly crooked and misshapen as part of its design to give a shabby chic, antique feel to the style of this piece.
It can be hung around your home from your ceiling or placed into a windowsill, sideboard or table, the options are endless.
I have designed the wire art so that it can be hung directly from the hook.
Approx size- 17 x 32cm this includes the wire hook. This measurement is from the widest point of the bird cage.
The aluminium wire I have used is a little fragile so please be careful when unwrapping. You may need to slightly re-shape your bird cage after transit.
please note this piece may have sharp edges due to the nature of the wire. Do not let children play with it.
