I feel in love with these characters when I saw them featured in a documentary last year.
They are precocial which means as soon after they hatch, these tiny puffs of cotton wool are up and off foraging - motoring around on their extraordinary legs.
The chick is needle felted from a mix of Merino and rare breeds wool with hand made beak and legs. He is stood on a driftwood base.
Measures approximately 10cm x 12cm
