A fun and playful piece of statement jewellery guaranteed to draw the eye. The curvy heart has been hand-cut from a piece of recycled copper, and the edges rounded, a long and arduous process with many a snapped blade and lots of power and hand sanding! Starting with two layers of shaded pink to green enamel, I added lapis blue and removed some of the dry powder to leave a swirly design before firing (a very steady hand was need both for the scraping away and to put it in the kiln!) resulting in an entirely unique piece with plenty of interest, texture and depth.

Items will be sent by second class Royal Mail (large letter), well packaged and complete with an organza pouch. Please note that, in the event of you returning an item, the return postage will be payable by you unless the item is proven to be faulty, otherwise only the cost of the item will be refunded. The item you see here is the one you will receive so, if you are unsure of size etc, please check before ordering. Please note that enamelled items are made of glass and so, although relatively sturdy and robust, they may still break or crack if dropped onto a hard surface. Earrings cannot be returned, for reasons of hygiene, unless they are proven to be faulty. Although the enamels used are lead-free, the pieces should be kept away from small children because of the copper content and the small parts.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
Large, hand-cut, curvy pendant with rounded edges on recycled copper, enamelled with a swirly design in blue, pale pink and pale green. The pendant has been kiln-fired and measures approximately 50mm from top to tip, and 33mm across the widest part. To complete the piece aesthetically and for a smooth finish against the skin, the back has been given two coats of dark blue tweed-effect enamel. It comes complete with a soldered sterling silver jump ring and is supplied with an 18" silver plated snake chain and a little organza pouch.
