Full description
This gorgeous cushion in a lovely soft colour palette is made from a vintage Welsh wool tapestry weave, and filled with a plump feather cushion. Commonly called Welsh tapestry, it's not really tapestry at all, but two layers intertwined together during the weaving process to create this dense, and incredibly warm cloth. It would look equally at home in a country cottage, or a mid century modern apartment. This cushion would make a lovely housewarming or wedding present.
The Welsh wool has first been backed onto poly cotton to stop it stretching, and the inside edges bound to prevent them fraying.
The back is made from a baby blue herringbone weave which has also been backed onto poly cotton, and finished with a zig zag stitch inside.
It measures 38 cm by 38 cm which is 15 inches square.
There is a semi-concealed old fashioned metal zip fastening measuring 30 cm.
Inside is snuggling a plump feather cushion pad.
The cushion is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
I like to reuse where possible. Your cushion will be posted out using clean, recycled packaging.
It will be posted out as Royal Mail signed for 2nd class, and will therefore require a signature on arrival.
