Full description
This beadwoven necklace has been made by stitching together semi-transparent dark amethyst coloured size 11 seed and bugle beads with lines of size 8 seed beads in very pale pink, rose pink and gold. I have used a pattern called a Russian Spiral. It makes a hollow, and therefore lightweight, necklace. The seed beads are high quality Miyuki and Toho. The bugle beads give the necklace flexibility. I have used 10lb Fireline braided beading thread to make the piece as robust as possible. The necklace is finished with an attractive star shaped gold-plated toggle clasp but I could change this to a different type of clasp at your request. This may cost a little extra (probably only a few pence unless you require gold), so please contact me before purchasing if you would like this option.
The necklace is 47cms (18.5ins) long and about 1cm (0.4ins) in diameter.
Despite it being strongly made, please note that the bugle beads used in this necklace can be very sharp if they get broken, so it is advised to keep this piece away from young children or situations where it could get crushed.
The necklace will be sent wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and posted in a sturdy cardboard box for safe travel.
