For those of you who really care about the environment and waste, I have designed this tea cosy as part of a new range of recycled yarn knitwear and accessories. It has taken a little while to try and source these lovely yarns and I hope that you will like the teacosies that I have made.
This Clematis flower tea cosy has a lovely hand knitted mauve base which is lovely and soft and slightly marled.
The mauve base yarn is:
60% Acrylic
18% Recycled Acrylic
12% Recycled Wool
6% Recycled Polyamide
4% Recycled Miscellaneous Fibres
The pink clematis flowers and trailing leafy stems are made from 100% recycled fibres which are:
48% Recycled Cotton
48% Recycled Acrylic
4% Recycled Miscellaneous Fibres
Attached are two pink trailing Clematis flowers with yellow stamens, the trailing leafy stems are sea green.
It will fit a standard 4-6 cup teapot and is fairly stretchy to accommodate various styles and shapes of teapot.
I would recommend hand washing this item and drying flat. Do not tumble dry. Gently reshape the flowers after washing.
