This is the second racoon jar I have made, sadly the first didn’t survive the glaze firing – always a potential risk. After researching racoons on the internet, I chose this style, expressing the gentle side of the species, rather than the bin-raiding one. I don’t think this one will be much of a bandit!

Racoon stoneware lidded jar thrown all in one and hand sculpted to form this gentle racoon. Glazed by hand in black and grey with black eyes and given a shining silver wax finish. Racoon is 11.5 cm high
