Unique and quirky pottery with hand-sculpted detailing

I've been absorbed by pottery since a taster session in March 2017 and it's become my passion. Working from my home studio I've been creating characterful animal pottery jars, ornamental bird feeders and sculpted animal ornaments from home since the Autumn of 2017. After the devastating loss of my son the previous year, working with clay has been my solace and saving grace and has allowed me to put myself back together.
I'm mostly inspired by the natural world, and I love both fauna and flora, which I can express in my own style through the lovely medium of stoneware clay. I also have a background in structural engineering, and love old buildings. I have plans to create toad houses, to complement my castellated tower bird feeders for the garden.
I also have a slightly warped sense of humour, and am having fun with monster mugs and am exploring some boney ideas too! I hope you enjoy looking through my creations and if you have an idea that I could apply my style to, I'd love to hear from you to see if I can come up with something individual for you.
