Item details

A statement cuff bracelet made with shibori ribbon in magenta colour, black potato pearls, hot pink agate rounds and a variety of glass faceted and round beads surrounded with patterns of black, copper, red and bronze seed beads.

The design has been hand-sewn onto bead embroidery foundation to give the cuff shape and strength. The reverse of the cuff is covered with grey ultrasuede fabric making the cuff comfortable and soft to wear.

The cuff fastens with an Art Deco black button and red seed bead loop, a second loop allows for a looser fit. The cuff measures 4.5cm wide and 18cm long. It will fit a wrist of up to approximately 18cm on the first loop and up to approximately 19.5cm on the second loop.

The cuff will come in a purple gift box.

There are an estimated 2,000 beads that I have hand-sewn onto this cuff, which took over 25 hours to make. I didn't have a plan as to how it would look; after placing the shibori ribbon the design grew organically. I am really pleased with the final piece and I hope it brings it's new owner as much enjoyment!
