Yarn Bowl ...... Knitting Bowl

I few months ago I designed and made a number of stoneware knitting bowls. They have heavy bottoms so that they don't get pulled about as you knit, the slits and holes are glazed and smooth so the wool runs smoothly through them, the slits run both ways so that the bowl can be placed to the left or the right of the knitter, there are holes placed so the needles can be stored through them, the rim tips inwards so that the wool doesn't tip out and hopefully they look nice too.

It's nearly 10cm tall and 14.5cm wide.
I used strong buff coloured stoneware clay fired once to bisque and then after glazing upto 1240C.
The bowl was thrown by me on the potters wheel and then altered and left to dry out very slowly over the next few weeks before it's bisque firing. It then had a second firing up to the stoneware temperature of 1240C after having been glazed.

Please not there is a warp in it. Please look at the photos closely.
