Full description
A beautiful, embroidered, crazy patchwork bag in shades of blue and white - stitched from vintage linens and lace, and hand embroidered.
Fabrics and lace have been chosen from my collection of vintage linens, resulting in a lovely selection of coordinating materials from which to compose a crazy patchwork design. Boundaries of the patches are enhanced with hand embroidery and with lengths of vintage lace and lace trimmings. Some patches feature portions of vintage embroidery. The edge of the bag is finished by blanket stitching in white into which is worked a crocheted picot edging.
The back of the bag has been stitched from a blue printed cotton fabric which has also been used for the lining. The bag closes with a magnetic fastener. The flap is lined with white felt. The strap is a hand-made cord in mid blue cotton yarn.
