Vintage Embroidery special occasions shoulder bag or handbag.
Here is the prettiest corner of a tablecloth ever. I rescued it from a forgotten part of a car boot sale, and it’s been brought back to life with careful washing, a bit of TLC and a good press. It is unashamedly nostalgic, and would make a lovely gift for a textile lover. With its delicate front panel, it’s not your everyday “chuck it all in bag,” but something for special occasions.It would be perfect at a vintage wedding, or it could hang up somewhere special as a little piece of craft work in its own right.
The front panel has been stitched onto canvas to give it some body. It is a vintage piece of embroidery with a cottage garden scene.
The back panel is recycled denim, to give it a bit of edge, and some strength.
It measures 26cm across the top, widening a little towards the bottom.
It measures 22cm down.
There is a maroon zip closure of 26cm, with an embroidered flower head pull.
The pair of embroidered shoulder straps measure 70cm - a good length to either hold in the hand, or be worn as a shoulder strap.
It is lined with floral poly cotton, and has an internal pocket 12x14 cm so you’ll always know where your keys are.
It is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.

I like to reuse where possible. Your little bag will be posted out using clean, recycled packaging.
It will be sent as signed for Royal Mail 2nd class, and therefore requires someone in to sign for it.
