Here's a super little gift for Dad. This flex top purse is a great way to hold change, and easy to fit into a pocket. Or keep it in the glove box for tolls and car-park charges.
I have made this one from Mackenzie tartan design of the world renowned Harris tweed fabric for the outside, and a toning cotton fabric for the lining. It closes with a flex or spring top to keep your change safe; press the ends inwards and the middle springs open, release them and the top springs closed again.
This purse measures approx. 10cm (4 inches) square.
Other styles of wallets and purses are available in my shop https://folksy.com/shops/rosesworkshop/collections/246987-purses-and-wallets
As with all Roses Workshop items, this has been made by myself in my Lancashire workshop. Custom orders are welcome.
(The change in the photo is to show scale only, and not included!)
About Harris Tweed:
Harris Tweed is a very special fabric; in order to be certified genuine and granted the “Harris Tweed Orb symbol” it has to be
"Handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides."
In this ever-changing mass-produced world it is a joy to find something so traditional, truly handmade and sustainable.
