Alpaca Hat, Handspun Knitted Fawn Light Brown 100% Alpaca Beanie
I handspun some 100% light brown or fawn alpaca into a thickish yarn and then I knitted this hat, cap or beanie.
The main part is knitted in a trellis stitch which gives elasticity and texture. The brim is knitted in double rib.
Alpaca is warmer than sheep's wool as the fibres are hollow and have a higher thermal rating. Alpaca can also be a valuable alternative to wool if people are allergic to sheep's wool or to lanolin. (alpaca contains no lanolin)
This hat would fit a small to medium woman or a small man.
