Welcome to my Folksy shop in which you will find a variety of hand-stitched accessories for you and your home, many of which make lovely (and easy-to-post) gifts. I stitch in a variety of styles, combining traditional embroidery with other textile techniques such as felting, weaving, hand dyeing and silk painting. Vintage linens and fabrics re-stitched into unique gifts and accessories may be found at my second Folksy shop 'LynwoodcraftsRecycled' where you will also find vintage sewing supplies including vintage lace.
Delicate embroidery in metallic threads, featuring butterflies and a rose, decorates this pretty patchwork felt, heart-shaped brooch.
Felt scraps, in shades of red, green, brown and yellow, have been stitched in a patchwork design into a heart shape. The 'joins' have been decorated with traditional embroidery stitches in metallic threads. Two butterflies and a rose, have been hand embroidered onto the patchwork..
The brooch is lightly padded by a layer of 'thick felt' interfacing. The back is neatened with a layer of felt. A brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
