This is a hand-pulled linocut / screen-print entitled 'The Donkey Village' printed in pale yellow, red and dark grey.
This is one of my many donkey-themed prints. On this occasion we find the donkeys inhabiting a curious village. Was it built for them? Did they build it? One thing is for certain. The helping hands are back..
Pale yellow, red and dark grey System 3 inks on off-white 270gsm acid-free Seawhite paper. From a limited edition of 50, signed, titled and numbered. I created the image initially as a linocut print, and then transferred the image to a silk-screen to hand-print the edition.
The print image measures H33.5xW23.5cm.
The paper measures H42xW29.7cm.
Printed by myself at Sheffield Print Club, Sheffield, UK. Each one is slightly different, as is the nature with screen-prints.
All prints will be posted securely in a card tube and sent by first-class post (UK) or Airmail (rest of the world).
My world of donkeys! Those familiar with my prints might be aware that I create a lot of prints featuring donkeys. I don't think they are championed nearly as much as they should be in the art world (and in real life), so I feel somehow that it is my job to do so.
