Simple modern pots with a rustic twist. All my pots are wheel thrown by me and fired in my electric kiln. I enjoy using stoneware clays and make all my glazes from scratch, decorating my pots with simple colour combinations. Most of my pots are practical items to use everyday around the home and include jugs, bowls, vases and other homeware items. Find out more about my latest designs on my website: www.judeallman.com.
A lovely stoneware vase in deep blue with herringbone pattern.
This vase is hand thrown on a wheel in stoneware clay. The deep blue comes from using a slip which was applied while the clay was still damp. Then a herringbone pattern was created by using a sgraffito technique, cutting into the clay to reveal the bare clay underneath.
Glazed inside and out in a clear glaze over deep blue (the inside is plain blue).
Height: 17cm (6.7 inches)
Across: 10.5cm (4.1 inches)
I recommend hand washing large pots. This vase has my own pottery seal on the base.
This is a listing for one vase only (props and other pots seen in photos not included).
