My Charmed thimble necklace pairs a tailors thimble and a wee silver button charm.
Handmade in my studio in York.
I chose a tailors thimble from my vintage collections and had it cast in solid silver. When developing the design I wondered how to make it quirky and different, so I paired it with a little button which I thought if hung inside would be like a little hidden button charm surprise. The finished design jingles which has an added lovely effect too.
The thimble measures 1.5cm. Both the thimble and the little hammered silver button hang beautifully on a 30" long chain.
I hand make all my findings and use loose sterling silver trace chain so let me know if you'd prefer a different length when ordering.
I've been collecting thimbles for many years, finding them at Brocantes in France and at English car boots. In one of the images here you can see some of my collection. So many styles and varieties!
The necklace comes packaged in one of my branded gift boxes, with all the trimmings.
