Solid sterling silver needle necklace.
This necklace is handmade in my studio in York and beautifully hallmarked in deep laser at The Sheffield Assay Office.
Needle: I very mindfully over time hand forged a perfect needle in sterling silver and had my finished design cast into sterling silver. I file the casting to clean up and I emery up the needle in stages before soldering a handmade jump ring to the end. I then give it all a high polish and using my pendant drill satinise the body of the needle. I totally love this finish.
The pendant is hung from an 18" luxurious curb chain which is perfect as its appearance reflects a thread-like effect.
I love this necklace so much and I am so happy with the result. I hope you like it too. It is a perfect gift for a seamstress, quilter, embroiderer.
The needle measures 5.5cm in length.
Packaged in a gift box and posted 1st class large letter tracked post.
I also have a version of the needle in 9ct gold (please get in touch if you'd be interested to see this).
