Hand stitched using a variety of threads, yarn, felt and metallic vinyl, I had a lot of fun choosing the textures and colours for this wall decoration. I love working with geometric patterns, and experimenting with new stitches and textures. This piece was inspired by repeating patterns in brickwork and architecture.
This embroidery would suit a contemporary interior, or as part of a gallery wall featuring unusual artwork.
The background fabric is a textured cotton and linen mix, and I have used metallic vinyl which is hand applied to wool felt to create the focal pieces. The stitch details are created with hand dyed wool, tapestry yarn and perle embroidery floss. The frame is crocheted in mercerised cotton over a metal ring.
The wall decoration is 12cm / 5" wide and hangs from a 5cm / 2" hanging loop. It has a cardboard cover on the back to cover the stitching.
The embroidery carefully wrapped in tissue before posting. All UK orders over £15 have 1st class postage free of charge.
