Full description
Years ago, a set of miniature cups from Villeroy and Boch's Art Naif range sparked Mecki's interest in this 'primitive' artform. Now with Zanna in the team, we make our own range of art naive inspired ceramics .... like this cute cat and bird plate for instance.
As usual, Mecki threw the plate on her wheel and Zanna created the gentle illustrations. With the contours added to the cream-glazed surface and the images fired into the glaze at 850 degrees C, a sweet scene has emerged.
This is a rustic little plate, that will stand up to everyday use or look charming displayed on a wall.
