Hi there and welcome to my shop. Here you will find old embroideries, vintage fabrics and sparkling remnants made into something pretty and practical once again.

I love to collect and make things from tea towels, but Wow! they don’t get much better than this one. A really fabulous illustration, and so reminiscent of old fashioned beach holidays.
I’ve loved making accessories from it. There is also a larger cross your body bag design in my Folksy shop, but this one is very cute!

What a beautiful vibrant illustration of the beach at St. Helier, Jersey. It skims across the surface of this pretty bag, with a nostalgic and sunny disposition, just to put you in the holiday mood. Perfect for your ice cream spending money, or as a bright little clutch bag to wander down the beach with.
This soft little bag is made from a vintage tea towel. It has a barkweave texture, and is backed onto cotton to give it some body
The back is made from blue denim, which further strengthens it
The bag width measures 22cms
The length measures 22cms, making it into a square shaped bag
It fastens with an emerald green zip 22cms long
The lining is a lovely vintage cotton blue and white Paisley design
There is a white cotton tape hook, for twirling around your finger, or for hanging up in a special place at home as a little piece of artwork in its own right. It is finished off with one of my own embroidered name tags

This little bag can be given a gentle machine or hand wash, and would love to be dried outside on the washing line, or flat on a table inside. Best to iron it slightly damp
Your purchase will be posted out to you with proof of sending by Royal Mail 2nd class, and will require a signature
I like to reuse as much as possible. Your bag will arrive wrapped in some clean, but creative, recycled packaging.
