I am happy to wrap and send gifts direct to recipients with a note - just specify their delivery address when you check out (I use track 24 or special delivery so you can follow it round the country to the recipient). Full description
These stunning earrings feature matched drops of stripy fordite hanging beneath sterling silver stud tops. The fordite is banded with layers of blues, cream, yellow, beige and black - very pretty and would look good with any outfit. The earrings have open backed settings so they are interesting from all angles. Fordite is the ideal gift for anyone who loves cars or the unusual as it is layer upon layer of paint that built up in the old spray booths, I believe this material came from a van spray shop in Dagenham in the 1970's as it features slightly wider layers and a wealth of corporate colours (you can see the lump of rough in the main photo so ask someone who remembers the 70's to identify them if you don't). I cut and polish the fordite myself and wanted to do a mirror image pair of cabochons, they are not quite an exact match (as I found out whilst making the settings) but are so attractive I didn't want to sand them any more. I have more of the rough so if you would like a different shaped earrings, cufflinks or a pendant to match then drop me a message I should be able to make you something extra special. Fordite is no longer produced due to changes in the way vehicles are sprayed.
Measures 45mm from top to bottom (approx 1 3/4 inches) and 15mm across the widest point (9 /16th of an inch). Finished with sterling silver posts and scrolls and comes gift boxed.
