Full description
This pig measures 10mm bt 22mm. it is mounted on a 26mm brooch bar that secures with a rotating catch.
I made it by building up layers of clear enamel over the copper base. I then fired a layer ov white enamel over that. Before firing the piece I drew in the features, the outline if the hanch and the top of the foreleg, rhe eye and the mouth, hoping that when the piece was fired the lines indicating these would remain distinct. They have done in a nicely understated way. I am pleased that the white surface has fired with a mottled effect, showing through to the clear enamel and th copper beneath but keeping it dark, suggesting the texture of the pig's skin.
