Montol is comprised of a number of Cornish Midwinter traditions, one of which is guise dancing. If a number of revellers are disguised in a similar style, they are most likely in the same guild, and will roam the streets of Penzance, performing for patrons of pubs and restaurants and have a drink themselves through-out the night. Many guise beasts and Obby Osses also gallop about the streets and Ramasses is one much revered guise beast belonging to The Glorious Company of the Egyptian House, and is a wild force when dancing!
