I am happy to wrap and send gifts direct to recipients with a note - just specify their delivery address when you check out (I use track 24 or special delivery so you can follow it round the country to the recipient). I cut and polish my own fordite, surfite and bowlerite, I'm happy to take commissions. If I don't have shipping to your country set up please drop me a message as it might be possible.
USA customers - I will be shipping using Royal Mail/ USPS so I can pre pay your tariff charges which I have included in the shipping costs.

This pendant features one of my last pieces of Dagenham fordite bezel set in sterling silver with an open back so that you can wear the pendant either way round. The 'front' has a cross like swirly pattern in blue, red and white with a few bands of sparkly turquoise and silver, the 'back' has more red and tighter bands of blue and white. What's fordite? Fordite is the name given to the material formed as car paint built up layer upon layer in the old manual spray booths - once it had been baked the accumulation would be periodically chipped off and someone realised it could be cut and polished to give wild patterns. This material came from Ford's plant in Dagenham in the 70's or 80's I believe and this material is incredibly hard to source since they changed the way in which cars are sprayed in the mid 80's and it isn't formed any more. Would make a wonderful gift for anyone who loved their cortina or escort back in the day (if you are after a specific colour let me know and I'll see if I can find it in my dwindling stash).
Measures 23mm top to bottom without the bail and 18mm across the widest point. Comes with a 16 inch sterling silver chain but if you would prefer waxed cord or leather thong then drop me a message.
Comes gift boxed.
