This was based on a coloured pencil piece i did in 2011, I believe, when I just got back into art and turned professional. The themes of belonging, roots and identity are recurrent and personal in my work since I am originally from N. Ireland and have been back living here with my family since 2009, after living for nearly 10 years in Chile where I met my husband.
Ireland is also well known as "The Emerald Isle" and this piece was part of my second solo show, "More Than Words" in Framewerk Gallery, Belfast, in July 2016. The exhibition was based on English sayings, something which has also always interested me as I used to teach English and have a degree in foreign languages, my other love.

In the hopefully unlikely event of a return, postage must be covered by the buyer and the item returned to me in the same condition it was sent out in. I cannot be held responsible for loss or damage in transit, but will keep all proof of postage labels, so that if such were to occur, I can assist with making a claim.
