These Keum boo earrings are the largest of two pairs of razor shell earrings that we make. They measure 12mm by 43mm. They are made from sterling silver and 24-carat gold. The gold and silver are fused together at a high temperature, this technique is an ancient Korean one called Keum boo. The inspiration for these wonderful earrings came from razor shells that we found at the seaside. It took us quite a while to develop a texture and a look that we thought captured the feel of the original shells. As each pair are made by hand, the texture may vary slightly from the images shown. The ear wires are also made from sterling silver. They are designed so that the earrings are securely attached, so no need to worry about lost hoops or earrings. These drop earrings have been coated in a clear, protective, anti-tarnish layer and come in one of our branded gift boxes.
