We graduated from Art College with BA Hons degrees a long long time ago in a galaxy, well, not far from here. John was studying 3D Design while Dawn studied Fine Art. We make our living selling our Contemporary jewellery ranges through quality craft centres, exhibitions and art galleries nationwide. We are a true partnership, both working on all aspects of the business from designing new pieces, sourcing materials and everything involved with the making and selling of our work. Each of the ranges that we make have had differing amounts of input at each stage of the development by the two of us.
The materials we use range from silver and brass to 24ct gold, many different gemstones (some that we have made to our specifications), exotic hardwoods and unusual responsibly resourced leathers such as stingray and salmon. Inspiration comes from many sources. We have stencils made for us that John has designed on the computer and some of our gemstones are lab grown and made exclusively for us.
Recurring themes include discs sawn in half to form pairs of earrings or cufflinks, asymmetry, richly coloured gemstones and embossed metals of contrasting colours.
