Full description
Hot drinks - coffee/tea - will taste great drunk from this lovely ceramic mug glazed in shades of moss green to misty blue to creamy white. The mug fits comfortably in the hand. The lovely orange flecks appear during the firing and are proof of the high iron content in the clay body. The swallow drawn by my illustrator daughter Zanna - zannaallenillustration.co.uk - is fused deep into the glaze. The ceramic star tied to the mug with a length of blue and white baker twine adds a special touch.

The mug is oven- and dishwasher-proof.
The glazes used are foodsafe.
Slight unevenness of glaze and/or form is evidence that the mug is handmade and adds to its rustic charm. Although thrown of strong stoneware clay, this mug feels surprisingly light.
