An authentic and completely original tartan messenger bag with 3 cheeky toggles

With a free flowing creativity I hand make each bag in my workshop in Edinburgh and no two bags are the same at Montgomery MacLeod as cut-and-copy patterns are not our style.

We try to be as ecologically sound as we can here at Montgomery MacLeod, we love the planet! The overuse of plastics we try to avoid so 3 buttons it is!

Also, animals are our friends so we use high quality vegan leather. It's kinder to the environment than the production of leather and no beautiful eyed beasts need to be harmed! Yay!

The bag dimensions:

The bag has a beautiful green lining with inner pocket for phones or keys and one main storage area. The flap is secured using the three toggles and the adjustable strap incorporates the same Boyd tartan on the underside.

Each bag starts with finding and falling in love with a fabric which I'll then colour match to other materials, then I'll let the sewing machine sing.

This particular fabric was sourced at a local retailer, here in Edinburgh, whilst I was touring around the city on my bicycle!
The tartan is a Boyd and the name Boyd is said to be descriptive, being derived from the Scottish Gaelic buidh which means fair or yellow. The surname Boyd may be derived from the Scottish Gaelic for the Isle of Bute which is Bod.
