Full description

Rustic and chunky these mugs were hand thrown on my 1970's potter's wheel from a lump of stoneware clay. I wire them off and set them to dry out for a day or so before adding the unique shaped handle along with my potter's mark.

Once completely bone dry I fired them in my electric kiln up to 1060 degrees centigrade, they were then glazed with an glossy yellow ochre glaze which has an interesting pale blue hue. I put them back in my kiln for a second firing to 1200 degrees making them strong and durable. My potter's mark is on the base.

Dimensions (approx):

Height: 8 - 9cm

Diameter: 7 - 8cm

Volume: 300ml

Made using lead free glazes.

Dishwasher safe but it's kinder to wash by hand.
