I have been using a card case cut from this pattern for several years. In an attempt to rescue as much vintage stitchery as possible, this one has been decorated with a panel from a vintage traycloth.

Full description
An embroidered panel featuring a 'crinoline lady' has been taken from a vintage tray cloth and hand appliqued to a matching ecru background to form the cover of this practical and pretty card wallet.
Vintage ecru (unbleached) fabric has been recycled from a table runner and used to form the cover of this card case. An appliqued panel, featuring a 'crinoline lady' has been taken from a tray cloth and used to decorate the front of the case. A small flower motif, matching stitching on the front as closely as possible in style and colour, has been hand-embroidered on the back of the cover.
The case has been lined with a turquoise and white striped and floral fabric, which has also been used to provide the two internal pockets to hold your cards. Entirely hand-stitched, and stiffened by two layers of interfacing, the wallet has been finished by edging in blanket stitch. It closes by a hand-stitched loop over a vintage button.
