I am happy to wrap and send gifts direct to recipients with a note - just specify their delivery address when you check out (I use track 24 or special delivery so you can follow it round the country to the recipient). Full description
These sterling silver cufflinks feature bezel set cabochons of monochromatic fordite from Ford's Detroit car factory. The almost matching oblongs of fordite have layers of predominately black, white and silver paint which built up on the walls of the old spray booths. Once the paint had cured it was chiselled off and most of it ended up in waste but some was cut and polished to be turned into jewellery - thanks to health and safety air extraction was introduced to the booths so paint no longer builds up and fordite is getting increasingly difficult to source. The Detroit fordite has a matt polish and more muted colour palette compared to material from Ford's Dagenham plant (If you want to have a look at some Dagenham fordite cufflinks there might be a pair in my cufflink collection).
The cufflinks measure approx 19mm by 14mm and have chain and bar backs - if you would like me to make you some with swivel backs please drop me a message as it might be possible.
Comes gift boxed and makes the ideal gift for someone who loves their cars (especially the old fords).
