I was inspired to create seven palettes of colour around each of the colours of the spectrum. Some of the accent colours appear in several of the palettes so they all harmonise with each other. In this way I hope to create components and accessories that can be mixed and matched.
This orange palette was inspired by fiery red foliage against a cool grey Autumn sky.

Full description
I made the unusual focal beads for these earrings from polymer clay. They are a tetrahedron shape that I have drilled through the centre of two edges rather than through the base and an apex (like humbugs not pyramids). The beads have an irregular pinstripe pattern in retro colours from my Orange Palette – orange, peach, red, brown and grey.
I have paired the polymer clay beads with cherry red miracle beads (which have a beautiful glow that I was unable to capture in the photographs) and bronze seed beads on brown coloured copper wire. The earrings hang from bronze coloured niobium shepherds hooks which are hypo-allergenic.
These funky earrings are 4.9cm long including the ear-wires.
