Full description
This unique pendant features a fossil of Orthoceras, a genus of extinct cephalopod related to modern squid. They are found in many sedimentary rocks, most frequently limestone, and may date from the Ordovician period about 450 million years ago. Its name means 'straight horn', a reference to the long extension in front of its head. The pendant measures 4x3cm and is highly polished. It has been fitted with a large sterling silver double bail, stamped '925', and is suspended from an 18 inch sterling silver snake chain.
This pendant will be packaged in a smart gift box and sent by Royal Mail first class post. Thank you.
