Sineabhar is Scots Gaelic for both gin and juniper, and this was knitted up for a cocktail-loving friend of mine. The grey-green colour of the yarn reminded me of the young juniper bushes we see on the Scottish hillsides at this time of year so it seemed the perfect name for this gorgeous shawl.

Full description
Please note that this listing is for a pdf Knitting Pattern and not for the physical item shown.
A stunning shawl that looks amazing but is actually fairly straightforward to knit. The pattern gives two sizes - for an 80” and 50” shawl. Using only 60g and 35g of laceweight yarn each, this is a perfect pattern for using up the end of a special ball of yarn.
Yarn: Rowan Fine Lace 60g (35g) - 450m/490 yards (270m/295yds) in colourway “Patina”. Any laceweight yarn will work for this pattern, as will any 4-ply yarn that is not too “drapey” (e.g. something with a high wool content, not pure alpaca). Meterage/ Yardage for 4ply is
500m/55yds (300m/330yds).
Dimensions: Larger size: 80” long, 12” across at widest point.
Smaller size: 50” long, 9” across at widest point.
Gauge: 16 stitches - 4”/10cm in lace pattern after blocking. Correct gauge is absolutely not crucial for laceweight or 4-ply yarn.
Needles: 4mm/US 6 circular needle, 6mm/US 10 circular needle, plus straight needle for three needle bind off.
Extras: Two stitch markers, waste yarn or spare circular needle for holding live stitches, embroidery needle for weaving in loose ends, pins or blocking wires for blocking.
Once paypal payment has cleared the pattern pdf will be sent to your paypal email address.
