Full description
Perfect for Christmas or maybe a ruby anniversary present. This pretty red and gold rope necklace would brighten up a plain outfit or could be worn just to cheer yourself up on a dull day. It is handwoven using tiny gold seed beads and slightly larger seeds in various shades of red. The beads are Miyuki, a Japanese make renowned for their good quality and evenness of size. I have stitched them together using strong, high quality Fireline thread. The stitch used is called Russian Spiral; it makes a hollow necklace so the piece is quite lightweight despite its substantial appearance.
The necklace is finished with a gold-plated trigger clasp and extension chain with pretty drop detail.
The necklace is 46.7cms (18.4ins) long; 51.5cms (20.3ins) if full use is made of the extension chain. It is 0.8cm (0.3ins) in diameter.
The necklace will be sent wrapped in acid-free tissue paper in a pillow gift box.
