Full description
This little hoop shows a snowy moonlit scene of frozen trees in a wintery landscape. The moon is a single white iridescent flat round sequin. The stars are tiny french knots dotted across the night sky. The frozen winter trees are hand-embroidered in straight stitch and split stitch.
The scene is framed in a 3" (7.5 cm) diameter wooden embroidery hoop, which I have painted white. The back of the hoop is neatly finished with a circle of white felt, signed by me. A hanging loop of white waxed cotton cord is attached the top of the hoop tightening mechanism.
All elements of the embroidery have been hand-cut and hand-stitched by me, to my own original design.
These little winter scenes make lovely gifts for friends and relatives living in warmer climes who might be missing the romance of a crisp, snowy winter. They are compact and light, making them easy to post.
As each scene is made by hand, each one is unique. The item you receive will be the item in the photographs.
The hoop art will be sent to you, via Royal Mail First Class post, in a white presentation box lined with grey felt to match the embroidered scene.
