We have some family heirlooms which are christmas decorations that were made in America by a friend of my mum's when we were little. They were made using plastic canvas and so this technique has a nostalgic quality to me, I love the idea of making something that lasts years and years, that you bring out every year and it has real memories attached to it. I thought I'd make kits so that other people could make their own family heirlooms!

All you need to make a set of Christmas Tree bunting, perfect for cosying up your home for winter and the christmas season. The bunting comes in a range of gorgeous greens and don't have to just be for Christmas, these would look at home all year round. Great strung over a fireplace or on a shelf or over a mirror, light enough to be secured with washi tape and moved around to where ever you fancy them next.
This needlepoint kit uses basic stitches suitable for beginners and might take a week of evenings to complete. Everything you need is contained within the kit included full colour, step by step instructions wool, plastic canvas, needle and twine for hanging the bunting. All you need is a pair of scissors.
The trees measure approximately 4 x 3cm and there is 1.5 metres of twine in each pack, which means you can position the trees close together or further apart to make a longer piece of bunting if you wish. There are enough materials in each pack to make 10 trees.
The kit is packaged in a brown cardboard box with pretty label, so it's ready to gift if you wish.
