Welcome to my Folksy shop in which you will find a variety of hand-stitched accessories for you and your home, many of which make lovely (and easy-to-post) gifts. I stitch in a variety of styles, combining traditional embroidery with other textile techniques such as felting, weaving, hand dyeing and silk painting. Vintage linens and fabrics re-stitched into unique gifts and accessories may be found at my second Folksy shop 'LynwoodcraftsRecycled' where you will also find vintage sewing supplies including vintage lace.
Very tiny toadstools, an autumnal tree and some tiny sheep carefully hand-stitched onto an appliqued background form the design for this pretty and unique brooch.
Scraps of printed cotton fabric, in autumnal shades, have been hand-stitched to a pale blue backing fabric to form a patchwork of tiny fields for the background of this brooch. Very tiny toadstools have been embroidered in a combination of wools and threads. An autumnal tree has been formed from couching over a brown yarn - the leaves have been stitched in a space dyed perle cotton. The embroidered design has been stretched over plastic cut from a re-cycled bottle. The brooch is framed by two layers of couching over fancy yarns - both in autumn shades.

A scene inspired by an autumn walk and my stash of fabric scraps.
