Inspiration for my work comes from the idea of finding beauty in the function of simple pots. We all use ceramics in our homes everyday. Taking time to drink tea from a favourite mug or eat soup from an honest bowl can be a simple, background pleasure in life.
I throw all my pots by hand on a pottery wheel and enjoy developing my own designs. I use stoneware for most of my pots because I feel the firm texture of the clay best reflects a rustic influence and the plain style of my pottery.
Most of all I hope people enjoy using my pots.

Full description
Light up your garden with this lovely hanging tealight candle holder. This little lantern is hand thrown using speckled stoneware clay and features heart shaped cut outs right around the pot. The clay has been fired but left unglazed to show off the natural tones in the bare clay.
The handle is made from wire which is looped through the pot on both sides and threaded with handmade beads in porcelain, black clay and glass. The glass beads are a lovely mustard and green colour and have been handmade by my friend Anna Hayward from Little House Jewellery.

Please take all the usual safety precautions when using candles. This lantern is suitable for supervised indoor use and exterior use. Long term exposure outdoors may cause weathering. Please do not carry by the handle when lit as the metal may get hot. Keep away from children.
