Instead of my more usual white shiny stars I wanted to make something vibrantly coloured and this is the result.
I was googling for a 7 or 8 star geometric star shape for my base design so I could make a rainbow but came across a dodecahedron, loved it so used that instead.
My stars are not just for Christmas, they make lovely decorations all year round. After all, the real stars shine in the sky throughout the year don't they.

Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A rainbow pentagram star enclosed in a rainbow decagon. I've used 10 colours of glass for the star and replicated these in the 10 triangles which form the border. I've used a prettily textured clear glass between the star and the border.
The suncatcher is 15cm in diameter and hangs from a silvery chain which s securely attached by solder to the top.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use different variations of colour and textures of glass.

The 5th photo shows the previous star I made, now sold, so you can see each is different though to the same design.
