I often cycled the Ayrshire coast in the past and on occasion visited Brig o Doon as it is a natural beauty spot. I would get a cup of tea or a cool drink from the hotel whose grounds form the foreground of this picture where there was often a wedding taking place.
The bridge is also the setting for Robert Burns classic Tam o Shanters poem
