I am inspired by all things weird and wonderful in nature particularly under the sea life. I like juxtaposing imagery that doesn't fit together in the usual sense. For this piece I wanted to create a unique take on the iconic ship in a bottle, and the sperm whale seemed like the ideal creature to use. To me the illustration represents the power of nature against human kind, although this whale is friendly and is just giving the ship a ride!
