Profits will be donated to Toybox, a charity that works with street children across the globe to give them a better quality of life. The amount donated will be stated on the item.
I started raising money for Toybox on 25th August 2023, and to date £180.56 has been raised by my lovely Folksy customers, £180.06 of which was transferred to Toybox between 20/11/23 and 5/04/23.
A message from Toybox: Please pass on our thanks to everyone who purchased your jewellery, as this gift really will help to change the lives of the children with whom we work.
My latest find is the Russian Spiral stitch and I am amazed at the variations that can be made just by changing the types of beads and the number in each round. I love the combination of turquoise and blue and so wanted to experiment with using them together in my bead weaving. I tried alternating two cobalt beads with one of silver lined crystal as the anchor points in the necklace, between the larger aquamarine beads. The result, two spirals of blue with one of silver in between shouldn’t have taken me by surprise but somehow it did. I loved the effect and hope that you like it too.
